SP Jain School of Global Management hosted Corporate Partner Meet 2020 – an exclusive platform to showcase our students’ Global Immersion Projects (GIPs) to our corporate stakeholders – on January 30, 2020, at Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel, Singapore.

The event, planned under the guidance of Dr Balakrishna Grandhi (Dean – Global MBA & Master of Global Business and Professor of Marketing & Strategy, SP Jain), provided an excellent opportunity for corporates, faculty and, most importantly, our students to network and collaborate with industry leaders from diverse fields. It was a platform to appreciate our corporate partners who mentor our Global MBA (GMBA) and Master of Global Business (MGB) GIPs and participate in other industry-academia collaborations.

The session began with an inaugural address by Nitish Jain (President, SP Jain) who informed our corporate guests about our latest initiatives including the cutting-edge Engaged Learning Online (ELO) technology – a powerful new way to learn virtually.

The highlight of the event was our Global MBA student teams, from the Marketing, Consulting and Global Logistics & Supply Chain specialisations, showcasing their Term 2 projects. Our corporate guests got the opportunity to experience first-hand the rigour, professionalism and value-addition offered by SP Jain students through these industry projects.

This was followed by an engaging and insightful panel discussion on “Curating Tomorrow’s Business Leaders”, moderated by Dr CJ Meadows (Professor, Director, i2i – The Innovation & Insights Center and Head, Global MBA – Consulting Management, SP Jain).

The panel members included:

  • Andrew Koay (Director, SEA Blockchain Lab, Deloitte)
  • Cherian Varghese (Regional Managing Director and VP, ASEAN & SAGE (South Asian and Growing Economies), Oracle)
  • Mark Shen (Director, Business Planning & Operations, Property Guru)
  • Mrinal Jain (Senior Manager, Commodities Procurement, Dell Technologies) (SP Jain alumnus)

The event concluded with a networking dinner where our students, faculty and staff got an opportunity to interact with our industry partners.

In the past, SP Jain has hosted the Dubai chapters of the Corporate Partner Meet on January 22, 2019 and September 19, 2019. The events witnessed the support of several senior practitioners from leading companies and our enthusiastic GMBA and MGB cohorts.
