ADMISSIONS OPEN FOR THE JUNE 2026 INTAKE

A step-by-step guide

Admissions Process

STEP 1

ELIGIBILITY

UNDERGRADUATE DEGREE

All applicants (domestic and international) will have an undergraduate degree from a recognised university or other approved tertiary institution. Applicants who do not have their final year results can apply for the intake, but SP Jain can only make a conditional offer, and admitted students will need to submit their final year marksheets and completion certificate/provisional degree prior to course commencement.

ENGLISH LANGUAGE ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

  • All applicants must have completed their education as detailed above in English and must provide certified evidence to the School.
  • Applicants who have not completed their most recent education qualifications in English are required to take any of the following recognised formal English language tests and obtain currently valid minimum scores as below:

    • IELTS minimum score of 6.5
    • TOEFL iBT minimum score of 70
    • PTE minimum score of 60
  • International applicants (including those who have completed their most recent education qualifications in English) who are undertaking study at our Sydney campus may need to meet the English language test requirements detailed by the Australian Government to obtain their student visas. For more information, please click here.

English language test scores must be submitted on or before May 15, 2026 (for the June 2026 intake). Only test scores obtained in the last 2 years will be considered valid.

STEP 2

APPLICATION

  • Submit your application online.
  • Candidates only need to submit one application but may apply for two specialisations with a single application.
  • If you do not desire placement services or are taking a leave of absence from your present employer (with a commitment to re-join them), mark the relevant box in the application form. Candidates accepted under ‘non-placements’ cannot change to ‘placement’ category.
  • Applications are considered on a rolling basis (i.e. evaluated when they are received); so, the sooner you apply, the better your chances are for being selected.

STEP 3

ENTRANCE TEST

APTITUDE/ENTRANCE TEST SCORE REQUIREMENTS

    • SP Jain requires candidates to take one of the following aptitude tests: GMAT, GRE, CAT (Common Admission Test – offered in India) or SPJAT (SP Jain Aptitude Test), and obtain the minimum expected test score as specified in the Postgraduate Admission and Selection Policy to be considered for admissions.

      • GMAT (Appeared in last 5 years)
      • GRE (Appeared in last 5 years)
      • CAT (Appeared in last 2 years)
      • SPJAT (Appeared in last 2 years)
      • NMAT ( Appeared in last 2 years)
    • Candidates may apply even if they have not yet taken the aptitude test, or if their scores are pending. However, candidates will not be shortlisted for evaluation until they submit final test scores. SP Jain accepts the best score from the stated tests.
    • Candidates who do not meet the aptitude test score requirements may be considered for interview subject to the decision of the Director of Admission/Registrar.
    • If you do not have a valid GMAT/GRE or CAT score, you may appear for the SPJAT. The registration fee payable would be USD 40.

STEP 4

EVALUATION & INTERVIEW

  • The School establishes a shortlist of potential applicants based on the following:

    • Past academic performance and other achievements
    • Past work experience
    • English language proficiency to ensure successful participation
    • Outcomes and scores of aptitude tests
  • All shortlisted applicants will be notified in writing by the School that their application has proceeded to the shortlist for admission.
  • As part of the final stage of applicant evaluation, all shortlisted candidates will be required to undertake:

    • An Essay and Case Analysis Discussion Paper
    • SP Jain "Business Creativity Test"
    • A personal interview at one of the School's campuses or online with a member of the School's academic staff. The interview is designed to assess the applicant's communication skills, analytical skills, aptitude and subject knowledge.
  • Candidates are required to pay a non-refundable evaluation fee of USD 50.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQs)

Does SP Jain require students to take an English language test to apply for the MGB program?

All applicants must have completed their education in English and provide certified evidence to the School.

Applicants whose most recent qualification was not completed in English are required to take a recognised English language test and achieve the minimum scores specified in the Postgraduate Admission and Selection Policy.

Can I work and pursue the MGB program at the same time or will I need to quit my job?

The MGB is a full-time program, which means you will not be able to work alongside your studies. Most students leave their jobs before the program begins so they can fully focus on academics, projects, internships, and campus activities.

I haven't received my final graduation results. Can I still apply to the MGB program?

Yes, you can apply even if your final graduation results are not yet available. You may also take the SPJAT and complete the evaluation process. However, until your final graduation results are submitted, any admission granted will be a conditional offer for the MGB program.

I want to apply for two specialisations. Do I need to submit two applications?

No, you should not submit two applications. You may select up to two specialisations within a single MGB application. Submitting more than one application is not allowed prohibited and may result in disqualification from the admissions process.

I have applied for a passport but have not received it yet. Can I still apply for the MGB program?

Yes, you can still apply. However, for the June 2026 intake, you must have your passport in hand by 10 April 2026, as it is required to process your student visa.

Can I choose which SP Jain campus I want to study in?

MGB students (June 2026 intake) and GMBA students (October 2026 intake) will study four months in Singapore and eight months in Dubai. Both cohorts will also have the option to study in London at our sister school, SP Jain London School of Management.*

When should I ideally start my MGB admission process?

It is a good idea to begin your application about 3 to 4 months before the application deadline. This gives you enough time to prepare your documents, complete any required tests and submit a well-prepared application without rushing.

Is there an advantage to applying early in the MGB admission cycle?

Yes, applying early can work to your advantage. Seats are limited and applications are reviewed in stages, so early applicants often have a stronger chance of securing admission. Applying early also gives you additional time to plan your finances, visa process, and travel arrangements.

What’s the typical timeline between submitting an application and getting a decision?

After you complete the evaluation process, including the interview, you can usually expect a decision within two weeks.
