SP Jain welcomes leaders from Rwanda

 

SP Jain School of Global Management had the honour of welcoming the High Commissioner of the Republic of Rwanda, His Excellency, Guillaume Kavaruganda, and Ambassador Dr Charles Murigande, Deputy Vice Chancellor for Institutional Advancement of the University of Rwanda, to the Singapore campus on July 3, 2019.

SP Jain School of Global Management had the honour of welcoming the High Commissioner of the Republic of Rwanda, His Excellency, Guillaume Kavaruganda, and Ambassador Dr Charles Murigande, Deputy Vice Chancellor for Institutional Advancement of the University of Rwanda, to the Singapore campus on July 3, 2019.

They were warmly hosted by Dr John Fong, CEO & Head of Campus (Singapore), faculty, staff, and students of SP Jain.

The event started with a presentation by Dr John Fong on the Engaged Learning Classroom (ELC), where he shared insights on the technology and innovation used in the classroom to encourage a robust and holistic education for SP Jain students. During the session, our current BBA September 2018 batch student, Sara Garzaro, also shared her first-year experience at SP Jain’s Singapore campus.

Speaking about the event, Dr Fong added, “It was our pleasure to welcome His Excellency, Guillaume Kavaruganda, and Ambassador Dr Charles Murigande on campus. Rwanda is one of the focus markets for us and I am confident we can become a key player in the innovative and technology-driven education sector and contribute to successful digital transformation for the people of Rwanda. I look forward to our fruitful collaboration in the near future.”

Expressing a vote of thanks for the visit, His Excellency, Guillaume Kavaruganda said, “It has been an honour and privilege to visit this notable institution. We are very glad for what you have achieved and I look forward to our collaboration and partnership.”

Ambassador Dr Charles Murigande added, “It’s been so wonderful to visit SP Jain and be introduced to their concept of teaching and learning that I found revolutionary. It is my hope that we shall find ways of establishing collaboration between SP Jain and the University of Rwanda.”
