SP Jain Global’s MGB-GMBA Sustainability Committee has been recognised as the 2026 Regional Winner for the Middle East at the United Nations Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME) Students Sustainability Awards. The recognition highlights the impact of student led sustainability work delivered across the UAE and India.

Launched in February 2025, the committee operates as a student-led platform supported by faculty and SP Jain Global leadership, where students work on real sustainability projects across campuses.

The committee led three flagship initiatives:

  • UAE Sustainability Championship: A national level competition where students from 12 UAE colleges tackled SDG-linked sustainability challenges and pitched solutions to expert judges.
  • ReBootcamp (Dubai): A hands-on workshop that introduced students to e-waste management, repair practices, and circular economy solutions.
  • Rise Up Girls and Boys (Mumbai): A student-led program where university students conducted workshops for school students on communication, confidence, and future-ready skills.

Across all initiatives, 18 student volunteers and 3 faculty members supported planning and delivery. The projects were aligned with key UN Sustainable Development Goals and guided by the Seven Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME), forming the basis of the committee’s PRME submission.

The initiative was supported through partnerships with Rotary Club Global Impact District 1990, Rotary Club of Bombay, and sustainability practitioners based in the UAE.

As a regional winner, the committee has now advanced to the global finals, where its work will be reviewed by a PRME panel including the Secretariat, Regional Chapters, and Advisory Board.
