CAREER ACCELERATION AND ADAPTION
To get to the next stage – whether it is to progress in your career, become an entrepreneur or make a career transition – you will need the management expertise and professional connections that a world-class MBA will help you foster. SP Jain Global's Executive MBA (EMBA) is an 18-month part-time program crafted to help busy working professionals, like you, build your managerial skill set in an ever-evolving world driven by rapid technological advancements, seize challenging opportunities, discover your unique style of leadership, develop a decision-making track record and position yourself as a change-maker.
The program is offered in two formats:
While the EMBA at SP Jain is typically a 'batch program' with a group of students starting and finishing together, students will now be able to follow a customised learning path according to their individual career and work needs which will include flexibility to interchange between the on-campus and virtual modes of learning.
We strongly believe we have built a world-class EMBA that continues to be at the leading edge of innovative development. Our program has been ranked in the World’s Top 100 (81st) and Asia Pacific’s Top 10 (7th) by Ivy Exec in its ranking of the world’s top EMBA programs for 2019. Previously in 2018, the program was ranked 87th in the world and 8th within Asia Pacific. The fact that the program moved up in the rankings is hard tangible evidence that what we do, as well as how we do it, is truly world-class.
Just before I joined SP Jain’s EMBA (taught virtually), I was very close to signing up for a full-time on-campus program. But that involved a lot of changes. I had to put my career on hold. So, I decided to explore an online program. This is one of the best decisions I have taken for my education. It’s given me the flexibility to continue working. I didn’t have to stop working, move houses or move to a different state.
When you’re in class, you’re in front of all your batchmates. You can see everybody right there. It doesn’t feel like you’re away. You can ask and answer questions on the fly. The favourite part so far has been the administrative setup. The team is doing a fabulous job. Any request we ask for is immediately dealt with. It’s great that SP Jain has this kind of an engaging online format.
I am a mother to a five-year-old and a Project Manager at Syngene. I’m pursuing the EMBA (taught virtually) to balance my personal and professional worlds. My experience at SP Jain has been great so far. It feels like you are sitting in class because you have a very engaging atmosphere where the professor is asking you questions, there’s a lot of cold-callings and you see your classmates. The best part has been the learning that we have gained. It hasn’t been a textbook approach, but a global one where we have been given examples of how the theory that we learn is put into practice in the real world.
Attending classes on campus would have been difficult for me as I travel extensively around the world for my work. Today’s digital world helps you connect from anywhere and learn. That’s why I preferred SP Jain’s online program over a conventional classroom program. No matter where I am travelling to, I have that flexibility and connect with my class. I never felt that I’m missing the class; I’m already in class! My first ELO experience was at Singapore airport. I attended the first lecture of my course from Ecuador. When I was in the Pacific Islands for almost three weeks, I attended two complete modules.
Speaking about diversity, I’m getting the opportunity to be in the same class with someone who has 25 years of experience! We have students from marketing, sales and teaching; someone is an entrepreneur; one of our classmates is a chef – everyone is bringing in their own experiences and this helps us learn better.
The faculty selection for each of the subjects was par excellence. Being experts and highly renowned in their respective fields, each of them shared their valuable experiences and knowledge with all of us. Global Immersion Project and Applied Business Research, the ‘crown jewels’ of the program, gave me the opportunity to test my learning and understanding from the program.
The SP Jain EMBA (on-campus) has empowered me to experiment with my leadership skills using Strategy, Quality Management and Personal Effectiveness tips and tricks. The Global Immersion Project and sessions on Corporate Finance, Research Methodology, Negotiation and Conflict Resolution Management, among others, have helped me expand my knowledge base and make winning decisions at work after considering a multitude of cross-functional factors.
The SP Jain EMBA (on-campus) offers you the flexibility to attend classes during weekends and focus on your work and family on weekdays. The program provides a lifetime of learning. Not only has the quality of my work improved immensely, the program has also helped me step out of my comfort zone, making me a confident and effective speaker.
