SP JAIN'S NEWS

Launch of Six New Virtual Laboratories at SP Jain - India Today Covers

India Today recently visited SP Jain’s Mumbai campus to understand the six new Virtual Laboratories launched on campus to deal with emerging technologies and published an article explaining the dire need of these laboratories in today’s global business world.

The virtual labs in the areas of blockchain, Internet of Things, machine learning, Application Programming Interface (API), cyber security and AR/VR (augmented reality and virtual reality) will be supplemented by workshops and incubation labs for students who want to create new ventures.

"Till recently, technology and business were 2 separate tracks. But these days the 2 have converged. Companies need business students who understand exponential technologies like Big Data, Artificial intelligence, Machine Learning, Blockchain amongst others. Technology is disrupting business models and improving efficiencies of existing ones. New jobs will take over existing ones. The institute is therefore creating an environment that focuses on this shift in its approach to business education by setting up labs," said Nitish Jain (President, SP Jain School of Global Management) in the article.
