The orientation program for BDAP Batch 05 was conducted at SP Jain’s Mumbai campus on 18th February, 2017. The program was inaugurated with the lighting of the lamp by the Chief Guest, Dr Vishal Talwar and other dignitaries.
While delivering a speech on the occasion, Dr Talwar said that it was not the events but the attitude that caused success. He also stressed the importance of dedication to one’s profession and the need to have proper planning before taking up and implementing any project.
This was followed by a speech by the Director of the course, Prof. Abhijit Dasgupta. He gave a bird’s eye view of the course and enlightened the students about the structure of the program.
A team building activity was conducted by Ms. Amrita Singh who helped the students break the ice and gel with everyone. It also helped the students understand how a team should work in case of a crisis.
Interaction among the fellow student were eased down by fun activities, which not only brought a good rapport between the freshers and seniors but also between the staff. The students were given an opportunity to exhibit their skills and were free to interact with the seniors and lecturers which helped them get an idea of how the next six months would be.
The students had a great time and gained a lot of information before the start of the BDAP Course.
