Redefining management education in the age of Artificial Intelligence and global change

What should management education look like in a world where industries change faster than curricula? In an era shaped by Artificial Intelligence (AI), globalisation, and constant disruption, the old model of classroom learning is no longer enough to prepare future leaders.

This transformation requires more than incremental updates. It demands a fundamental rethink of how future business leaders are trained, especially in an environment shaped by Artificial Intelligence, sustainability challenges, and rapidly changing global markets.

In a recent EdexLive feature, Nitish Jain, President of SP Jain Global, shared his perspective on how management education must evolve to remain relevant in this new era.

“True change means integration rather than addition. The challenge is not what to teach, but how to teach,” Mr Jain said, stressing that sustainability, ethics, and Artificial Intelligence should be built into every learning experience.

Highlighting SP Jain Global’s multi-city model across Dubai, Singapore, Sydney, and London, he explained that global exposure is meaningful only when students are placed in unfamiliar environments that push them beyond comfort zones and encourage adaptability.

He further noted that this approach is designed to prepare students not just for jobs, but for leadership roles in an increasingly complex and interconnected world.
