The Master of Applied Finance and Wealth Management (MFWM) students at SP Jain Global recently attended an insightful guest session with Kristal.AI, a digital private wealth platform, exploring how global events, economic shifts, and analytics impact modern wealth management.
Namit Gupta, Country Head, and Dr Manisha Jain Kulshreshtha, Senior Director - Financial Products, led the session, sharing their perspectives on strategic investing.
Dr Manisha emphasised the importance of diversification across equities, bonds, and Alternative Investment Funds (AIFs) for better risk-adjusted returns, and introduced key metrics like the Sharpe, PEG, and Sortino Ratios to measure performance and manage downside risk. Namit Gupta highlighted how geopolitics and macroeconomic shifts, such as trade policies and global conflicts, impact market confidence and investment strategies, encouraging students to adopt a global perspective alongside analytical thinking.
The session enabled students to translate academic knowledge into practical wealth management insights, exploring the effects of macroeconomic trends, market fluctuations, and portfolio design on long-term financial planning. The guests stressed the importance of a global perspective in investment decisions, blending analytical expertise with strategic foresight.
