The Dubai campus of SP Jain School of Global Management recently had the honour of hosting the Division B Annual Speech Contest 2024-25, one of the flagship events of Toastmasters International. The contest brought together over 150 members and guests from across the UAE. It turned the Dubai campus into a vibrant hub of public speaking, leadership, and community engagement.
The competition focussed on four categories: International Speech, Evaluation, Table Topics, and Humorous Speech. Each participant brought unique perspectives and stories. They delivered memorable performances which resonated with both, the audience and judges.
One of the standout moments came during the Humorous Speech Contest, where Mr Sivaramakrishnan Elumalai, a recent Executive MBA alumnus, delighted the audience with his wit and stage presence. His charming performance earned him the First Runners-Up title.
A Platform for Leadership and Growth
In his heartfelt Vote of Thanks, Dr. Gary Stockport (Dean - Executive MBA), acknowledged the collective effort that made the event a success. He spoke about the immense value of such initiatives in fostering real-world leadership, communication, and professional development. These qualities are deeply ingrained in SP Jain Global’s educational philosophy.
The Dubai campus received high praise from attendees for its state-of-the-art facilities, warm hospitality, and vibrant atmosphere. The setting was ideal for an event of this scale and significance, strengthening SP Jain Global’s standing as a hub of excellence and innovation.
