Dr Priti Bakhshi wins Gold Award for Best Research Paper by ICAI | SP Jain

We are thrilled to share that Dr Priti Bakhshi (Associate Professor, SP Jain School of Global Management) has been conferred the Gold Award for Best Research Paper in the Finance category at the International Research Awards 2021 organised by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI).

The research paper on ‘Volatility in International Stock Markets: An Empirical Study during COVID-19’ has been co-authored by Dr Priti Bakhshi, Dr Rashmi Chaudhary and Dr Hemendra Gupta. The paper has been published in the Journal of Risk and Financial Management and listed in ISI Thomson Clarivate Analytics and ABDC indexes.

The award ceremony was held on August 31, 2021, at Hotel Radisson Blu in Ranchi, Jharkhand, India.


Speaking about the recognition, Dr Bakhshi shares, “I am truly honoured to receive the International Research Award "Gold" in the Finance Category by ICAI. I am thankful to the ICAI, Reviewers, Jury, and all those who have supported me in this research. This award is not only a recognition but also a motivation for me to do better in the field of research.”

Dr Bakhshi has over 23 years' experience in industry, academics, research, consultancy, and mentoring start-ups. She holds PhD, MBA, MCom and MA degrees and is NET qualified. She is the recipient of many other awards, including “Best Professor – Finance & Banking”, “Women Achiever’s Award”, and “Teaching Award: Problem Solver of the Year Award”. She is the editor/reviewer for Taylor & Francis, Emerald and Interscience. She has written a book titled “Indo-European Union Trade Dynamics”. She has mentored Women Entrepreneurs under a Goldman Sachs Women Entrepreneurship program run by the Indian School of Business (ISB) in association with London Business School.
